Item 8.01 Other Events.

Effective as of August 4, 2008, Dr. John J. Paulos’ employment as an officer of Cirrus Logic, Inc. (the "Company") has been terminated. Dr. Paulos will receive certain severance benefits and compensation in accordance with the Company’s 2007 Executive Severance and Change of Control Plan, as restated on September 27, 2007, which was previously filed as Exhibit 10.2 to the Current Report on Form 8-K filed by the Company on October 3, 2007.
