ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR

RADNOR, PA (BusinessWire) March 26, 2009 – Penn Virginia Corporation (NYSE: PVA) announced that, effective as of March 26, 2009, Steven W. Krablin has resigned from its Board of Directors. Mr. Krablin had been a director since December 2004.

Earlier this week, Mr. Krablin was appointed President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of T-3 Energy Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTES) and the time commitments related to those new positions necessitated his resignation from the PVA board.
