Note 18 - Investments in equity investees

During the year ended December 31,2016, the Corporation recorded earnings of $31.3 million, from its equity investments, compared to $24.4 million for the year ended December 31,2015. The carrying value of the Corporation’s equity method investments was $ 218 million and $ 213 million at December 31,2016and 2015, respectively.
