Income Taxes	NOTE G – Income Taxes The effective income tax rate in the third quarter of 2013 of 29.7% decreased from 32.4% in the same period of 2012. For the first nine months of 2013, the effective income tax rate of 30.8% decreased from 32.5% in the first nine months of 2012. The decrease in the effective tax rate in both periods of 2013 was primarily due to a higher proportion of income generated in lower taxed jurisdictions.

NOTE G – Income Taxes

The effective income tax rate in the third quarter of 2013 of 29.7% decreased from 32.4% in the same period of 2012. For the first nine months of 2013, the effective income tax rate of 30.8% decreased from 32.5% in the first nine months of 2012. The decrease in the effective tax rate in both periods of 2013 was primarily due to a higher proportion of income generated in lower taxed jurisdictions.
