Legal Matters and Contingencies [Text Block]	NOTE 17. LEGAL PROCEEDINGS From time to time, we are involved in various claims, legal actions and complaints arising in the normal course of business. Although the ultimate outcome of the matters discussed below and other matters is not presently determinable, management currently believes that the resolution of all such pending matters will not have a material adverse effect on our financial position, results of operations or cash flows. In fiscal year 2014, two former employees of Exar’s French subsidiary asserted claims against that subsidiary for alleged unfair dismissal in the French Labor Courts. We believe that the former employees were terminated in accordance with the requirements of French law and that the former employees’ claims are not supported by evidence. The matters are in the early procedural stages. A court hearing for one of the matters is scheduled for October 10, 2014. We dispute the claims and we intend to vigorously protect our interests. We do not believe an adverse outcome will have a material impact on our financial position, results of operations or cash flow.
