The Newhall Land and Farming Company issued a news release on October 31, 2003 announcing that the Company has revised its 2003 third quarter results and estimate for 2003 net income in response to the Financial Accounting Standards Board’s decision to indefinitely defer the implementation of certain provisions of the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No. 150.  A copy of the news release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
