Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure

Camden National Corporation issued a press release on December 28, 2004,
which is attached as Exhibit 99.1, declaring a special cash dividend of $0.50
per share in addition to its quarterly dividend of $0.20 per share payable on
January 31, 2005 for shareholders of record on January 14, 2005.
