NORSAT ANNOUNCES PERSONNEL CHANGES

-Company announces changes to management and Board of Directors-

VANCOUVER, CANADA, October 17th, 2008 – Norsat International Inc. (“Norsat”) (TSX: NII and OTC BB: NSATF) a leading provider of intelligent satellite solutions, announces that Christopher Hoyle has resigned as a Director of the Company. Mr. Hoyle joined the Board of Directors in May 2005.

Norsat also announces that William R. Witten, Vice President of Sales, and Pervez Siddiqui, Vice President of Marketing are no longer with the company.
