Norsat Wins Order from United States Air Force


(Vancouver, Canada) November 17, 2006, 08:00 EST – Norsat International Inc. (TSX – NII.TO; OTC BB – NSATF.OB)  announced today that it has fulfilled a follow-on order from the United States Air Force.  The order called for the supply of additional portable satellite equipment and training.


Air Force News, based in San Antonio, Texas, has more than 480 Air Force, Army and civilian members assigned to 28 locations worldwide. The service broadcasts news, information and entertainment through print and electronic media to members of the Armed Forces, their families and the public.


Norsat's portable satellite systems are rugged, reliable and compact making them ideal for even the most demanding conditions. Operators, with minimal training, can establish high-speed communications links quickly to transmit and receive large files, video, and images.
