Nature of Operations	1. Nature of Operations The St. Joe Company together with its consolidated subsidiaries (“St. Joe” or the “Company”) is a Florida real estate development, asset management and operating company with real estate assets and operations in Northwest Florida. Approximately 86% of the Company’s real estate is located in Florida’s Bay, Gulf, and Walton counties. Approximately 90% of the Company’s real estate land holdings are located within fifteen miles of the Gulf of Mexico. The Company conducts primarily all of its business in the following three reportable segments: 1) residential, 2) hospitality and 3) commercial. See Note 17. Segment Information.
