8. COMMON STOCK

During fiscal years 2019 and 2017, the Company did not purchase any of its common stock. During fiscal year 2018, the Company purchased 305,473 shares of its common stock for approximately $21,855,000. At January 31, 2020, the Company had prior authorization by its Board of Directors to purchase, in open market transactions, an additional 349,861 shares of its common stock.
