Olin Announces Pricing Terms of Debt Offering

Clayton, Mo., August 14, 2009 - Olin Corporation (NYSE:OLN) announced today the pricing of its offering of $150 million aggregate principal amount of Senior Notes (the “Senior Notes”) that will mature on August 15, 2019.  The Senior Notes will have an interest rate of 8.875% and will be issued at 99.19% of par value, providing a yield to maturity to investors of 9.0%.  Interest will be paid semi-annually on the 15th day of February and August beginning February 15, 2010. The Senior Notes will be sold pursuant to Olin’s shelf registration statement on file with the Securities and Exchange Commission.  The managing underwriters and joint book-running managers for the transaction are Citi and Banc of America Securities LLC, and the co-manager is Wells Fargo Securities, LLC.  Proceeds from the Senior Notes will be used to further strengthen the corporation’s long term liquidity given uncertain economic times.
