Deposits

The aggregate amount of time deposits in denominations of $250,000 or more at December 31, 2017 and 2016 was $162,781,000 and $142,527,000, respectively.

At December 31, 2017, the scheduled maturities of certificates of deposits (included in "time" deposits on the Consolidated Balance Sheet) were as follows (dollars in thousands):

There were no brokered time deposits at December 31, 2017 or December 31, 2016. Time deposits through the Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service ("CDARS") program totaled $25,838,000 at December 31, 2017 compared to $23,445,000 at December 31, 2016. Deposits through the CDARS program are generated from major customers with substantial relationships to the Bank.
