NOTE 1. ACCOUNTING PRINICIPLES	F & M Bank Corp. (the “Company”), through its subsidiary Farmers & Merchants Bank (the “Bank”), operates under a charter issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia and provides commercial banking services. As a state chartered bank, the Bank is subject to regulation by the Virginia Bureau of Financial Institutions and the Federal Reserve Bank. The Bank provides services to customers located mainly in Rockingham, Shenandoah and Page Counties in Virginia, and the adjacent counties of Augusta, Virginia and Hardy, West Virginia. Services are provided at nine branch offices, a Dealer Finance Division and a loan production office. The Company offers insurance, mortgage lending and financial services through its subsidiaries, TEB Life Insurance, Inc., Farmers & Merchants Financial Services, Inc, and VBS Mortgage, LLC.
