18. Selected Quarterly Financial Data (Unaudited)

Summarized unaudited quarterly financial data is presented below. Prior-period amounts have been restated to reflect continuing operations. The sum of net income per share by quarter may not equal the net income per share for the fiscal year due to variations in the weighted average shares outstanding used in computing such amounts. Our businesses are seasonal due to weather conditions in our service areas. Operating revenues for natural gas distribution, gross profit and operating income are shown net of discontinued operations from our Georgia operations of $17.2 million, $7.5 million and $4.9 million, which were not previously reported as discontinued operations.
Operating revenues for natural gas distribution, gross profit and operating income are shown net of discontinued operations from our Georgia operations of $17.9 million, $8.5 million and $5.9 million, which were not previously reported as discontinued operations.
