Note 12: Property, Plant and Equipment


Property, plant and equipment are stated at cost less impairments. Maintenance and repairs are charged to expense as incurred. Management evaluates, on an ongoing basis, the carrying value of property, plant and equipment and makes adjustments when impairments are identified. Depreciation is based on the estimated useful lives of the various classes of assets and is computed using the straight-line method. Depreciation expense was $1,259 and $1,352 for the three months ended December 31, 2011 and 2010, respectively, and $2,502 and $2,609 for the six months ended December 31, 2011 and 2010, respectively.
