ITEM 7.01.     REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE

     On March 27, 2007, CalAmp Corp. (the "Company") announced that it had
entered into a definitive agreement, dated March 26, 2007, to acquire
SmartLink Radio Networks, a privately-held company that provides proprietary
interoperable radio communications platforms and integration services for
public safety and critical infrastructure needs.  The Company's press release
announcing this agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.

     The information in this Item 7.01 is furnished to, but not filed with,
the Securities and Exchange Commission.
