Of total OTTI, losses of $51 million and $73 million were recognized in earnings, and reversal of losses of $(15) million and $(3) million were recognized as non-credit-related OTTI in other comprehensive income for third quarter 2016 and 2015, respectively. Total OTTI losses were $123 million and $73 million for the first nine months of 2016 and 2015, respectively.
