Earnings for fiscal 2003 and 2002 were not sufficient to cover fixed charges by approximately $191.9 million for fiscal 2003 and approximately $2.8 billion for fiscal 2002. Earnings for the six months ended April 2, 2005 were not sufficient to cover fixed charges by approximately $611.8 million. The loss before income taxes for fiscal 2003 included an impairment of long-lived assets loss of $95.6 million and the loss before income taxes for fiscal 2002 included a goodwill impairment loss of $2.8 billion. The loss before income taxes for the six months ended April 2, 2005 included a goodwill impairment loss of $600 million.
