Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Principal Officers, Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers

One June 27, 2006 the Board of Directors appointed Robert M. Bowen as an Executive Vice President of AmericanWest Bank. Mr. Bowen will manage the Bank’s loan production office operations in the State of Utah.
