Property and equipment consist of the following as of June 30:

Depreciation expense for the years ended June 30, 2023 and 2022 was $421,514 and $393,756, respectively.

Included in the above caption, "Buildings" as of June 30, 2023 and 2022 is a building lease that is accounted for as a finance lease asset (see Notes 6 and 7) with a gross value of $3,800,000.
