DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS AND BASIS OF PRESENTATION Bioanalytical Systems, Inc. and its subsidiaries (“We,” “Our,” “Us,” the “Company” or “BASi”) engage in contract laboratory research services that provides drug discovery and development services to the pharmaceutical, agro chemical and medical device industries. We also manufacture scientific instruments for life sciences research, for use by pharmaceutical companies, universities, government research centers and medical research institutions. Our clients are located throughout the world.
