Goodwill

Goodwill at both September 30, 2022 and December 31, 2021 was $375 million, which was a result of goodwill recognized for the acquisitions of SVB Securities, WestRiver Group's debt fund business, Boston Private and MoffettNathanson LLC.

For the nine months ended September 30, 2022, we recorded amortization expense of $18 million.
