The net proceeds from the issuance and sale of the securities, together with other funds of the Company, will be used to pay at maturity $30 million in principal amount of the Company's First Mortgage Bonds, 8.125% Series due July 15, 2005. Pending the use of the net proceeds in connection with this redemption, the Company intends to make these funds available for use through the Entergy System money pool.
