7. Deposit Liabilities

Major classifications of deposits are summarized as follows for the dates indicated:

At December 31, 2015, the scheduled maturities of time deposits were as follows:

Time deposits that meet or exceed the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (“FDIC”) limit of $250 thousand were $23.3 million and $28.0 million at December 31, 2015 and 2014, respectively.

Deposits from directors, executive officers, and principal shareholders of the Parent Company and its subsidiaries (including deposits from affiliated companies of which they are principal owners) and deposits from members of the immediate family of such persons were $28.1 million and $19.8 million at December 31, 2015 and 2014, respectively. Such deposits were accepted in the normal course of business on substantially the same terms as those prevailing at the time for comparable transactions with other customers.
