On November 21, 2012, First Merchants Corporation issued a press release announcing the declaration of a cash dividend of $0.03 per share. The cash dividend is payable on December 17, 2012 to stockholders of record as of December 3, 2012. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.

FIRST MERCHANTS CORPORATION ANNOUNCES CASH DIVIDEND

First Merchants Corporation declared a cash dividend on November 20, 2012 of $0.03 per share, payable on December 17, 2012, to shareholders of record on December 3, 2012.  For purposes of broker trading, the ex-date of the cash dividend is November 28, 2012.
