(1) The Company provides financing to certain suppliers, primarily Brazilian farmers, to finance a portion of the suppliers’ production costs. The amounts are reported net of allowances of $3 million and $4 million at June 30, 2022 and December 31, 2021, respectively. Interest earned on financing receivables of $4 million and $8 million for the three and six months ended June 30, 2022, respectively and $2 million and $6 million for the three and six months ended June 30, 2021, respectively, is included in investment income in the consolidated statements of earnings.

(2) Non-trade receivables included $29 million and $27 million of reinsurance recoverables as of June 30, 2022 and December 31, 2021, respectively.
