Item 8.01. Other Events.

On May 10, 2007, American Medical Alert Corp. (the “Company”), issued a press release announcing that Walgreen Co. (“Walgreen”) will launch a nationwide rollout of Walgreens Ready Response ™ Medical Alert System. The Company previously announced its agreement with Walgreen in its Report on Form 8-K filed on February 20, 2007. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
