Item 8.01 Other Events.

On November 12, 2009, Nash Finch Company issued a press release announcing that the Board of Directors approved a share repurchase program authorizing the Company to spend up to $25 million dollars to purchase shares of the Company's common stock. The program will take effect as soon as administratively practicable, but no earlier than November 16, 2009, and will continue until December 31, 2010. The press release by which this program was announced is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
