STAGE STORES TO PRESENT AT THE BARCLAYS CAPITAL 2011 RETAIL AND RESTAURANTS CONFERENCE

HOUSTON, TX, April 19, 2011 - Stage Stores, Inc. (NYSE: SSI) announced today that Andy Hall, President and CEO, and Oded Shein, CFO, will present at the Barclays Capital 2011 Retail and Restaurants Conference on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time.  The conference is being held at the Crown Plaza Times Square in New York City.
