Dividends	Dividends From time to time we may declare and pay dividends to our direct parent company, Qwest Services Corporation ("QSC"), sometimes in excess of our earnings to the extent permitted by applicable law. Our debt covenants do not currently limit the amount of dividends we can pay to QSC. During the nine months ended September 30, 2017, we declared and paid dividends of $800 million to QSC. Dividends paid are reflected on our consolidated statements of cash flows as financing activities. On March 31, 2017, we distributed our equity interest valued at $12 million in a limited liability company to QSC. The limited liability company's sole asset was a building that was being utilized by an affiliate.
