     Apache is engaged in a single line of business. Both domestically and internationally, the Company explores for, develops, and produces natural gas, crude oil and natural gas liquids. At September 30, 2011, the Company had operations in the United States, Canada, Egypt, the United Kingdom North Sea, Australia and Argentina.
