See Note 2 in PPL's 2011 Form 10-K for a discussion of reportable segments. In 2012, the International Regulated segment was renamed the U.K. Regulated segment to more specifically reflect the focus of this segment. Other than the name change, there were no other changes to this segment. Because the acquisition of WPD Midlands occurred on April 1, 2011, and PPL consolidates WPD Midlands on a one-month lag, the 2011 operating results of the U.K. Regulated segment for the nine-monthperiod include five months of WPD Midlands results.
