INCOME TAXES	11. INCOME TAXES The effective income tax rate was 35.0% and 35.5% for the first quarters of 2014 and 2013, respectively. The 2014 effective income tax rate is equal to the federal statutory rate due to favorable federal items offset by the effect of state income taxes. The 2013 effective income tax rate differed from the federal statutory rate primarily due to the effect of state income taxes.
