Amortization expense for intangible assets was $1,862 and $1,870 for the quarters ended March 31, 2017 and 2016, respectively, and $3,723 and $3,745 for the six months ended March 31, 2017 and 2016, respectively.
 
No event or indicator of impairment occurred during the six months ended March 31, 2017 which would require impairment testing of long-lived intangible assets including goodwill.
