Re: THE HARTFORD MUTUAL FUNDS, INC. AND THE HARTFORD MUTUAL FUNDS II, INC. (the “Funds”)

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Please be advised that the undersigned Funds have established the following new series of shares known as HARTFORD SCHRODERS INTERNATIONAL CONTRARIAN VALUE FUND, HARTFORD SCHRODERS SUSTAINABLE INTERNATIONAL CORE FUND, AND HARTFORD DYNAMIC BOND FUND (each a “Series”).

In accordance with Section 9.06 of the Custodian Agreement made as of December 31, 2014, and effective as of January 1, 2015, as amended, modified, or supplemented from time to time (the “Agreement”), by and among each registered investment company party thereto, and State Street Bank and Trust Company (“State Street”), the undersigned Funds hereby request that State Street act as Custodian for the new Series under the terms of the Agreement. In connection with such request, the undersigned Funds hereby confirm, as of the date hereof, its representations and warranties set forth in Section 9.04 of the Agreement. Appendix A of the Agreement is hereby amended and replaced with Appendix A attached hereto.

Please indicate your acceptance of the foregoing by executing two copies of this letter agreement, returning one to the Funds and retaining one for your records.
