1 The application of collateral cannot reduce the net amount below zero. Therefore, excess collateral is not reflected in this table. For repurchase agreements with private institutions, the fair value of investment securities pledged was $0.7 billion as of September 30, 2015 and December 31, 2014. For repurchase agreements with government entities, the investment securities pledged to each government entity collectively secure both deposits as well as repurchase agreements. The Company had government entity deposits totaling $1.2 billion and $1.3 billion as of September 30, 2015 and December 31, 2014, respectively. The investment securities pledged as of September 30, 2015 and December 31, 2014 had a fair value of $1.9 billion and $2.1 billion, respectively.
