Item 8.01    Other Events

On September 25, 2014, a jury verdict in the amount of $60.7 million was rendered against U-Haul International, Inc. (“U-Haul”), a subsidiary of AMERCO, relating to U-Haul’s use of the words “pod” and “pods” to describe its U-Box moving and storage product.  The verdict was rendered in favor of PODS Enterprises, Inc., the party with whom U-Haul has been in litigation on this matter since July 2012.

 

U-Haul is considering its post trial options and will abide by the procedural rules in place in Federal Court.
