Item 8.01 Other Events.

Genuine Parts Company is filing this Amendment No. 1 to its Current Report on Form 8-K filed with the SEC on November 19, 2018 (the Original Form 8-K), to correct the record date of its regular quarterly dividend to December 7, 2018 and to correct the payable date of the dividend to January 2, 2019.  This Amendment No. 1 is filed solely to correct such typographical errors. No changes to the other documents furnished with the Original Form 8-K have been made.
