Item 8.01. Other Events

On January 6, 2010, the Board of Directors of Frisch’s Restaurants, Inc. approved a program to repurchase up to 500,000 shares of its common stock on the open market or through block trades from time to time within the next two years.

The program is intended to replace a similar repurchase program that will expire on January 28, 2010.
