Fair Value Measurements

Fair Value on a Recurring Basis. Our financial instruments consist of cash and cash equivalents, restricted cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank borrowings, and senior notes. The carrying amounts of cash and cash equivalents, restricted cash, accounts receivable, and accounts payable approximate fair value due to the highly liquid or short-term nature of these instruments. In connection with fresh start accounting, the Company incurred various other non-recurring fair value adjustments to our oil and gas properties, asset retirement obligation, other long-term liabilities and stockholder's equity of approximately $227 million as of April 22, 2016.
