Item 8.01 Other Events.

On April 8, 2008, Alan Rosskamm, a Director of Jo-Ann Stores, Inc. ("Jo-Ann") and a member of one of the founding families, entered into a stock trading plan (the "Plan") under Rule 10b5-1 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended. Under the Plan, Rosskamm Family Partners, L.P. and Caneel Bay Partners, L.P., of each of which Mr. Rosskamm is a general partner, may sell shares of Jo-Ann as part of the Rosskamm family long-term asset diversification strategy. Mr. Rosskamm will disclose the details of actual sales under the Plan through Form 4 and Form 144 filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

A copy of Jo-Ann’s press release announcing Mr. Rosskamm’s entry into the Plan is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
