Tellabs reorganizes to strengthen customer relationships, product development and international business.

Tellabs Chairman and CEO Michael J. Birck announced a reorganization designed to strengthen Tellabs’ relationships with customers, speed development of new products and grow the company’s international business. Further details are contained in the press release of Tellabs, Inc., dated August 2, 2002, attached hereto as Exhibit 99 and incorporated herein by reference.
