June 3, 2008 — Guernsey, Channel Islands — CanArgo Energy Corporation (“CanArgo” or the “Company”) (OSE:CNR; AMEX:CNR) announced today that as a result of delays encountered in the review of its proxy materials by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission it has re-scheduled its Annual Meeting of Stockholders from June 26, 2008 to July 18, 2008 in order to provide the Company with sufficient time to solicit proxies. The Meeting will be held at 10.30 a.m. Eastern Time at the American Stock Exchange, 86 Trinity Place, New York, NY. Only stockholders of record at the close of business on June 9, 2008 will be entitled to notice of, and to vote at, such meeting or any adjournments or postponements thereof.
