Short-term investments of $119.9 million at June 30, 2022 represent time deposits maturing at various dates within the year. These investments are classified as held-to-maturity securities because we have the positive intent and ability to hold until maturity. Held-to-maturity securities are carried at amortized cost, which approximates fair value. Fair value is based on observable interest rates for similar securities.
The estimated fair value of the foreign currency derivatives is determined using model-derived valuations, taking into consideration foreign currency rates and counterparty credit risk. The estimated fair value of the contingent purchase price obligations is calculated in accordance with the terms of each acquisition agreement and is discounted. The fair value of debt is based on quoted market prices.
