Stock Option Awards	Note 14. Stock Option Awards Certain employees of the Company participate in Deere & Company share-based compensation plans. During 2016, 2015 and 2014, the total share-based compensation expense was $5.7 million, $5.7 million and $5.3 million, respectively, with an income tax benefit recognized in net income of $2.1 million, $2.1 million and $2.0 million, respectively. Further disclosure for these plans is included in the notes to the Deere & Company 2016 Annual Report on Form 10-K.
