Related Party Transactions	Related Party Transactions Citizens, Inc. purchased Class A common shares during 2015 that were held by a subsidiary at market value as of the transaction date, which approximated $0.8 million. This transaction was eliminated for financial reporting purposes in accordance with consolidation accounting, but generated a tax expense for the year ended December 31, 2015 totaling approximately $0.3 million. In 2016, SPLIC paid a dividend to CICA in the amount of $20.0 million.
