CAPITAL STOCK	CAPITAL STOCK The total number of shares we are authorized to issue is 1,218,050,000 shares, which shares may be issued as follows: 1,200,000,000 shares of common stock, par value $5.00 per share; 150,000 shares of Class B Preferred Stock, par value $50.00 per share; 250,000 shares of Class C Preferred Stock, par value $100.00 per share; 1,100,000 shares of Class D Preferred Stock, no par value per share; and 16,550,000 shares of Class E Preferred Stock, no par value per share. There were no preferred shares issued or outstanding as of May 27, 2018. We have repurchased our shares of common stock from time to time after considering market conditions and in accordance with repurchase limits authorized by our Board of Directors. In October 2016, our Board of Directors approved a $1.25 billion increase to our share repurchase authorization. The Board of Directors approved further increases to the share repurchase program of $1.0 billion each in May 2017 and May 2018. We repurchased 27.4 million shares of our common stock for approximately $967.3 million and 25.1 million shares of our common stock for approximately $1.0 billion in fiscal 2018 and 2017, respectively, under this program.
