Debt Disclosure [Text Block]	Indebtedness Our long-term debt balance has not changed since December 31, 2016. However, on February 28, 2017, Selective Insurance Company of America ("SICA") borrowed $64 million in short-term funds from the FHLBNY at an interest rate of 0.75%. This borrowing was repaid on March 21, 2017. For detailed information on our indebtedness, see Note 10. "Indebtedness" in Item 8.
