11. COMMITMENTS AND CONTINGENCIES

We lease certain office space under an operating lease that expires on September 30, 2019. The Tampa office lease contains an annual escalation clause and a provision for payment of real estate taxes, insurance, and maintenance and repair expenses. Total rental expense for the lease for the nine month periods ended September 30, 2018 and 2017 is $74,367 and $78,652, respectively.
